– Promotion am Institut für Neuropathologie der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover über Neuro-Degeneration und Alzheimer Krankheit im Jahr 1994.

Dr. Sergio Dani is an Italian-Brazilian physician, scientist and entrepreneur based in Switzerland, specializing in General and Family Medicine, Genetics, Pathology and Toxicology. Dr. Dani is known and respected internationally for his original scientific contributions, such as the unification of cellular alterations in neurodegeneration and Alzheimer's disease, the concept of a cancer suppressor mutation, the demonstration of the adaptive metabolic effect of a "thrifty gene", the description of osteoresorptive arsenic poisoning and its treatment, the proposition and defense of Pairomics, among others. In the field of nature conservancy, he was the creator and has been the principal private maintainer of the Acangaú Mosaic, a mosaic of natural heritage reserves and a state park, comprising more than 10 thousand hectares of cerrados and protected native forests, in Paracatu, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Sergio Dani has 4 children from two marriages. He lives in Wädenswil, Switzerland.
